Ever wonder what Old Town Greenwood looked like 50, 100, or even 150 years ago? Come take a walk through the stories that helped shape the heart of our community!

Join Old Town Greenwood, Inc. for a fun, guided walking tour through Old Town Greenwood. We'll hit some of the highlights of Old Town's history, share stories about the people and places that helped make Greenwood what it is today, and uncover a few things you may have walked past without ever knowing the story behind them.

The tour will last approximately 1–1½ hours and will wrap up at the historic Polk Community House.

Come curious, bring your walking shoes, and get ready to see Old Town Greenwood from a whole new perspective!

There is no set admission price for the tour. Instead, we invite you to make a contribution that reflects what the experience is worth to you and what you'd like to give toward the continued work of Old Town Greenwood, Inc.

Your generosity makes our work possible. Proceeds from the walking tour go directly to Old Town Greenwood, Inc. and help support our efforts to preserve Old Town's history, protect its character, promote our historic district, and create experiences that bring our community together.

Good to Know

• Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour will cover several blocks of Old Town Greenwood and will last approximately 1–1½ hours. We’ll be walking at a leisurely pace with stops along the way.

• All ages are welcome! Bring the whole family and come ready to learn a little, laugh a little, and see Old Town in a new way.

• Well-behaved pets are welcome. Please keep pets leashed and be mindful of other tour participants.

• Weather: This is an outdoor walking tour, so please dress appropriately for the weather. In the event of inclement weather, the tour will be rescheduled to a new date and registered participants will be notified.

• Donations are non-refundable. Because this experience is offered on a pay-what-you-can donation basis rather than as a ticketed admission, all contributions are considered donations to Old Town Greenwood, Inc. and are non-refundable.

• Registration is encouraged. Space may be limited, so please register in advance to help us plan for the group.

• Please arrive a few minutes early. We’ll meet at the southwest corner lot at Main Street & Madison Avenue and depart promptly at 6:00 PM.

• Parking: Please allow a few extra minutes to find parking in the Old Town area before the tour begins.​
